Although netbooks are known to be limited in performance and power many netbook enthusiasts have strayed away from the pre-installed operating systems which usually ship with these devices. Most commonly Windows XP or a lite user friendly version of Linux can be found pre-installed by the manufacturer.
And while within the computer industry netbooks are at the forefront of innovation right now the operating systems they use are sadly not . This is due to a number of factors regarding licensing problems.
So when Microsoft released the beta for their new operating system "Windows 7" I immediately felt an urge to install it on a Samsung NC10. The NC10 came with Windows XP Home Edition which in comparison to Vista or a latest Linux distrobution feels lacking in features and capabilities.
